Conduction

Transfer of heat from a region of higher temperature to a lower temperature without the movement of matter is called conduction.

Conduction is the heat transfer in solids.

Most metals are good conductors of heat.

When heat is supplied to the solds, its atoms vibrate faster and pass on their vibrations to the adjacent atoms.
