Description

The Pearson Edexcel International GCSE in Physics (Modular) (4XPH1) is part of Pearson’s suite of International GCSE (Modular) qualifications, designed specifically for an international audience. Although not accredited or regulated by any UK regulatory body, it provides a comprehensive and flexible approach to learning physics.

This modular qualification allows students to take units in any order during the June and November exam series, with opportunities for re-sits and a final cash-in for the overall grade. The specification offers relevant, up-to-date, and engaging content arranged into nine topics, ensuring global applicability. Assessment is through untiered written examinations, accessible to learners of all abilities.

 

The course emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical investigation skills, which are assessed within the written exams. It also prepares students for progression to Pearson Edexcel AS and A Level or equivalent qualifications. The current specification is valid for first teaching from September 2024, with first assessment in June 2025 and first certification in August 2025.
